Students Investing in Others

I just wanted to take the time to share something exciting that happened in my classroom at Dixie the other day. Because of scheduling I have about 20 minutes of time in which 7th grade band class time and 6th grade band activity time overlap. First Day at MECA

Been awhile since I have blogged about tools in the classroom, so I decided today should be the day.  I am sitting in a session on iPad applications that are available and I only have one question...why do we not have the tools to use these wonderful things?  I know money is tight but we could replace a few interventionists with a few iPads.  Several of the apps that I have had the opportunity to play with would be wonderful used as RTI interventions.  Regardless of age most children could… Continue

I have to admit, after 17 years of teaching today I was a little nervous.  I taught my first skype class today.  While I was teaching my 2nd period algebra 1 class I was also teaching Dixie's class.  I hope it went well, and will be beneficial to everyone involved.

Okay, I admit it. I'm a little obsessed with owls. It all started with a Donors Choose project I posted this past September.
